The Leopard Minimoog Home

Construction of a new wood cabinet. Hand made, with domestic tools...It was time consuming ! very long, long, long... The structure seems simple, but it's very precise. Delicate adjustments.

To place correctly the keyboard is certainly the most difficult part of the job. No right for error ! I've understood what "electronic luthery" means...

Note the Behringer "Ultrafex Pro" on the right...

A piece of steel from a crappy "ultrafex pro" was employed for the "unit leg". The idea is not to save a buck, but I really wanted to use something from a "young digital device" to support an "old analogue device" ;) The ultrafex is dead, the mini is alive. The revenge !

Reinforcement with flight-case corners.

I've not tried to drop it throught the window. But it should be enough solid ;)

The wheels-block in starting-block

The wood grain isn't beautiful, but nevermind, the deer isn't far...

Good new: each element find perfectly its own place...the best motivation for the following !

After this last test (everything isn't glued for the moment) unit and keyboard will be removed one more time...

A little improvment to the original design: the central piece of wood (between the unit and the keyboard) isn't glued. It's removable. It's easier to have an instant access to the LHC and the keyboard for maintenance. Perfect for quick "pit stop" on stage.
