The Minimoog Pratt & Read Keyboard was difficult to find.
I've tried to adapt a Moog Sonic 6 J-wire keyboard, but it was too much work. It was necessary to cut the Sonic 6 keyboard, (49 keys) to fit the 44 space. To design a specific circuit for trigger detector and everything else...I've gave it up the idea. Finally I've found an original Pratt & Read.
Very dusty and very very dirty...
All those parts have been changed for brand new ones: Contact springs, gold plated buss bars, resistances, wiring, bushings...
The nightmare: To obtain a perfect action of the springs over the buss bars !
Kind of a metaphysic science...

Old bushings removed. Dry and tired...

Looks better after cleaning...
The silicon grease was employed to give a smoother touch. A little nut over the Bellcranck caps (those little silicon's nipples ;) give to the Pratt & Read keyboards this wonderful feeling. Nervous and tender...New bushings are not enough to obtain this so specific feeling...

New bushings in place, and alignment of the little metal legs.
I'm in love with overhauled and well adjusted Pratt & Read keyboards. They are simply the best !
