The idea of this project was to rebuild a Minimoog from spare-parts.

To recreate an entity. An identity.

Seeing so much minimoog in a relative good health, salvaged for parts, I've decided to take the opposite way. To rebuild a minimoog from A to Z. Just to walk on the wild side. Just for fun. Just for the honor of this instrument.

This project has been long and sometimes painful, and it took me 18 months.

I've started with an incomplete unit in poor condition, and the hunting began:
Pratt & Read keyboard, bushings, contact springs, pots, knobs, rocker switches, left hand controller, CJ connectors, wiring, power supply, nameplates, Oscillator and VCA Boards, changed some components for new capacitors, diodes, transistors, made a new wood cabinet, etc, etc, etc...The list of things done would be long...This adventure has been like a "Safari", an "Electronic Safari in the Kingdom of Moog" ;)and this minimoog sounds like a wild beast....

So I thought that a finish with a leopard's fur would be perfect ...
